Avalanche warning for region Indre Fjordane Wednesday 02.12.2020

In exposed slopes at high altitudes, small to medium sized wind slabs may be triggered in fresh deposits that form when the wind is picking up. At lower altitudes, there is generally little snow and stable conditions.

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Før helga låg snøgrensa på om lag 500 moh. Mildvêr måndag har gjort denne snøen våt. Nedbør som snø over ca. 1000 moh måndag kan ha lagt att om lag 15 cm med lett vindpåverka nysnø i høgfjellet.

Underliggande snødekke har gode bindingar mellom ulike lag.

Måndag og natt til tysdag kom det inntil 15 mm nedbør i regionen.

Høgt til fjells kan ein nokre stader løyse ut små til middels store skred i fokksnøen som blir danna når vinden aukar onsdag. I lågare fjellområde er det lite snø og generelt stabile forhold.
